5 Tips for New Moms Returning to Work

Being a first-time mom is tough. But leaving your newborn to head back to work is even tougher. Here are my top 5-tips for new moms leaving their newborn baby behnd to head back to work.

Good suggestions but I think you could add a few crucial ones:
1) Understand that hormonal levels are going to affect your moods for the first 3 to 4 weeks. Dome days will be dicey on the emotional scales.
2) Great tip on the mid week entry. But, even more crucial, see if you can negotiate with your boss a ramping up for a the remainder of the days, ie: Wed 2-3 hours, Th half a day, Fri half a day at least. If you can negotiate more use it, the more gentle the ramping up the easier it is to ease back.
3) Figure out where you will be able to pump during the day before you return to work. If you have to get your head wrapped around the fact that you won’t have any other space but your car…that takes adjusting.
4) Find a group of moms that are returning to work and are on line and can support and share your pain, joys and frustrations it makes the more difficult times feel less lonely.
Certainly that’s what has helped me.
GREAT video! So well done! (stopping by from mom vloggers) You are a great role model on how to do it professionally! I’ll be back to your site – great content too
