So what is "LizzieBtv" and why should you care? Well, I'm LizzieB - a former tv news anchor and reporter who spent 15-plus years working days, nights, early mornings, holidays and weekends to bring viewers the news of the day.
For a good long time, I thrived on reporting breaking news and anchoring from the set. The daily dose of heart pumping adrenaline was addictive. But several years ago I took a fabulous life detour. I got married, had a baby, quit my tv news job and ended up with a nasty dose of postpartum depression. (It's real Tom, just ask Brooke!)
In the blink of an eye, I went from a career woman dressed in snazzy suits with very big hair and camera ready makeup to a crazy lady who was constantly harried, unprepared and disheveled. I won't lie, I was a new mom and I was a mess.
Fortunately, my love for reporting kicked in and I delved into researching all things mom-related.Look, I'm no expert. I'm a real mom, wife, friend and daughter trying to balance it all. I don't know everything and never will, but I have learned a few parenting tips and tricks along the way and I want to share them with you. And hopefully you can enlighten me with your motherhood triumphs and challenges as well.

I always keep my video camera with me just in case I’m at the park or the beach and have a deep thought and want to share. Those end up being the best ones.
I actually wrote a whole ebook full of vlogging ideas – it’s free on my site.
I agree that most people seem to overthink it or think they have to create a whole series. They also don’t realize how circumstances that are ordinary to them are new to so many others.
Sugar & Jendi thanks for weighing in on this topic. You gals should know – both fabulous vloggers yourselves! You gals are so right – great vlogs usually happen when you least expect it. I too try to keep a mini video camera in my purse or diaper bag at all times – just a word of advice – Make sure the battery is fully charged!!
Hey Lizzie – you know I always keep my camera handy – I find that my best vlogs are the ones that seem to come naturally and have the least amount of planning…. the key, of course, is to just get started
D, yes keeping the camera handy is a fab idea. And I think getting started in anything is always the biggest challenge.
Thanks for the tips!! I always remember that editing is my friend… If I say something crazy, ramble on and on, or just don’t like what I did, I just edit it out or start over. Practice makes better, not perfect… better!! Love your vids, keep ‘em coming!!
I’m 14, and I want to start vlogging. But I’m kinda nervous about looking stupid, cause some of my friends might see it or something, and What do I even talk about, anyways? I mean, I could talk about colleges or orchestra or jobs, but I don’t want to talk about anything touchy like twilight or religion or anything controversial. Any ideas for someone my age?

I’m actually getting started on my own vlog later on today when I get out of the school, but, after wondering what I would even begin to vlog about (seeing as a few of my friends already have blogs – all of which are funny), I decided to just blog about myself.
I have very strong opinions about different things; every day events, political events, wordly events, and, I figured I’d share them and just put what I think out there.
I’m also planning to do reviews (books, movies, foods, products, etc.) and, if I can get away with it, OOTD’s.
I just plan for my blog to be a mix of my own little world and what I think (and do!) everyday!

(Also, don’t feat controversial issues. If you’ve got an opinon, say it. Your voice won’t be heard until you speak out, and, if others have a problem with it, who cares? They’re not you. At the end of the day, you’ll both be going to bed, each with the decisions you have made on your minds. You won’t be worried about what the other person said or did. If you won’t care about while you’re sleeping, don’t give it much thought while you’re awake.)
