It was a great day for Lizziebtv! I made my first appearance as a “guest” on ABC-7’s, The View From the Bay. I’ve been on the show countless times as a host and a contributor but this time was different. I was on the show representing lizziebtv, my new video blog. Very, very cool.
In case you missed the segment, I’ve got the link right here! I feature all my favorite personal Mom picks from the ABC Kids Expo in September. If you’ve never been to the show before it’s unbelievable. Everything and anything mom, tot and baby related all under one roof. After three days scouring the Las Vegas Convention Center I still couldn’t get thru all the booths. Just way too much stuff.
My favorite finds tend to be products that make life easier. Or were just really freakin’ cool. I went crazy for the new Arm & Hammer and Munchkin Diaper Pail because the diaper can in my bathroom sucks. Just walking by the darn thing triggers my gag reflex – really, it does! As far as I’m concerned anything that uses the odor fighting power of baking soda is a no brainer (and “no” I didn’t get paid by Arm & Hammer and Munchkin to say all these things but they did send me two pails – one for the tv demo and one to give away to a lucky viewer of my video blog). I also love the new “Mother Tucker” compression tank from the gals over at Belly Bandit. Most compression tanks are unbearable and make me feel like I’m wearing sausage casing but this thing is totally wearable. And it really did help minimize my muffin top – it didn’t make it vanish completely (that would require a miracle) – but it did take away most of that unattractive bulge that spills over my waistband. You gotta love that!

For a good long time, I thrived on reporting breaking news and anchoring from the set. The daily dose of heart pumping adrenaline was addictive. But several years ago I took a fabulous life detour. Fortunately, my love for reporting kicked in and I delved into researching all things mom-related.Look, I'm no expert. I'm a real mom, wife, friend and daughter trying to balance it all. I don't know everything and never will, but I have learned a few parenting tips and tricks along the way and I want to share them with you. And hopefully you can enlighten me with your motherhood triumphs and challenges as well.
