My Top-4 Websites Just for Moms

If you’re new to motherhood and looking for a fun, safe place to commiserate look no further. I’ve rounded up a list of my four favorite websites just for moms. These aren’t the only sites I visit. I spend a lot of time online so I could go on and on about my faves for days but these are the ones that I always come back to.

  • TheWellMom.com: This site just for moms was founded by former ABC Network news anchor, Heather Cabot. I love that the focus of this site is on taking care of mama. In our crazy, busy lives we often forget to spend time on ourselves. This site has tips on eating healthy, finding time for exercise and staying connected with our friends and our partners.
  • Mommytracked.com: Okay, before I gush about why I love this site so much let me first say that I did do some paid freelance work for this site a couple of years ago. But I haven’t for quite some time and I still just adore it. The founder, Amy Keroes is a sharp, witty, smart and beautiful gal and her website content for moms is just as fabulous. Keroes hand-picked a top notch group of authors, bloggers and writers to add content to her site. I always know that I’ll either get a good laugh or a good cry after reading something from her website.
  • Momversation.com: I guess it’s safe to say that I enjoy video blogging. So, being a fan of momversation is a no-brainer. Basically about ten different mom bloggers sound off about a given topic on camera. The topics are wide ranging and not everyone agrees – which leads to some lively and emotional conversations (that’s why I like it).
  • Truumomconfessions.com: This is the site I like to visit and vent to when the mom guilt is just too much to handle. The always fun and sassy Romi Lassally founded this website to allow moms a place to purge of their mom confessions anonymously. I’ve posted a few confessions of my own but you’ll have to guess which ones belong to me.

So, there you have it. A few of my favorite websites just for moms. Do you have a favorite? If so, what is it and why?

Helping Out the New Kid On The Block

I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve thought “Hey, I really need to send an email to so and so and thank them for their time and help…” And then I realize a month or two later that I never said thanks! Soooo, right now at this very second I’m gonna take the time to thank all the wonderful people who have helped me launch my Mom Video blog. Some of these people I’ve known for quite some time but most I just sent an email outa the blue and crossed my fingers that they replied. Really, without the help of these folks listening, guiding and helping – who knows where I’d be?? So, here’s my list of “thank-you’s” in no particular order:

  • Amy Keroes of Mommytracked.com – My cheerleader and supporter ever since the day we met.
  • Romi Lassally of Truumomconfessions.com - My other cheerleader and supporter. Plus she’s so damn fun and sassy!
  • Clay Nichols of Dadlabs.com - He’s wry and witty. He’s got a big heart and so incredibly talented, kind and helfpul.
  • Kimberley Clayton Blaine of Thegotomom.com - A lovely gal that’s willing to help just about anyone out plus she’s got a great laugh!
  • Daryn Kagan of DarynKagan.com - This former CNN news anchor reminded me that I can re-invent myself and do anything!
  • Emily Roemmich of Busy-Mommy.com – So kind and patient. She took the time to answer all my ridiculous questions. Plus she’s a night owl – like me!
  • Heather of ThetaMom.com – You can feel her joy and energy in her emails and posts. Yet another helpful Mommy!
